Omar Aborida is a multi-instrumentalist musician based in Glasgow, Scotland.
Longtime member of legendary psych experimentalists The Cosmic Dead (declared "The loudest psychedelic rock band on the planet." by Kozmic Ken), Omar has been riding the cosmic wave since 2010, initially joining on smoke machine / vocal delay and going on to play bass, guitar, vocals, synthesizer and percussion with the band over their ever growing eight album span. The cosmics are an indominitable touring force, having played over three hundred and fifty concerts across twenty-four countries and three continents including such famed venues as The Roundhouse in London, Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas, Moulin Rouge in Paris and Nice N Sleazy in Glasgow.
In 2014 Omar joined veteran heavy metal band Dead Otter as lead guitarist, the band's sound is described as warping blissfully from drifting improvisation to full on space noise oblivion. More recently the band released thier first full length LP 'Bridge of Weird' in Autumn 2017 via The Black Country's finest celestial-dredging behemoth Riot Season Records.
